WHAT IS FIRST CLASS KIDS
“WOODLAND WONDER?”

“A child’s world is fresh and new and beautiful, full of wonder and excitement.  If a child is to keep alive their inborn sense of wonder they need the companionship of at least one adult who can share with them the joy, excitement and mystery of the world we live in” (Carson. R., 1956).
Our Woodland Wonder sessions are carried out throughout the year to give children of all ages the opportunity to explore the natural world for themselves in all seasons and in all weather. Exploring the local woods at First Class Kids enables children to work together to build their knowledge and understanding of the world around them whilst developing their personal, social and emotional skills. Adults facilitate this process through the careful planning of different learning opportunities and experiences designed to develop confidence, encourage independence and raise
self-esteem.
Exciting Forest and Woodland adventures at First Class Kids!
Being able to access the local woods has given our children the opportunity to try more risky activities such as climbing trees, using tools, cooking on a campfire or exploring in the stream adding a sense of excitement and adventure for the children. When in the local woods our children are free to explore and investigate the natural environment around them using all of their senses, discovering for themselves the wonder of the natural world around us.
